Uplifting Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
Our February initiative, Uplifting Individuals with Developmental Disabilities, centers on intentional encouragement and meaningful connection. Through this effort, we aim to remind individuals with developmental disabilities that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.
As part of this initiative, we hosted the Hearts & Service Dinner. This was a gathering where a group of ladies come together to write personalized Valentine’s Day letters filled with affirmation, hope, and encouragement to 37 recipients. The evening also created space for honest conversation about what charity within the church looks like and how we can serve with greater intentionality.

Each handwritten letter is paired with a small plush gift to add an extra layer of warmth and care. As these items are delivered, our goal is to create moments of joy and reassurance. Through both written words and thoughtful gifts, we seek to remind every recipient that they are cherished, valued, and never overlooked.
